Mobile libraries

For renewals and queries on mobile library stops, phone 0345 045 5225.  Timetables are given here but subject to change, visit the mobile library website for more information.

One little known fact is that residents can deposit used household batteries in boxes on the County's mobile libraries – a member of the Library Service on the County Council's Green Champions Network put a collection box on the buses several years ago in response to the Network's push on the '3 Rs' – Reuse, Repair and Recycle.

A list of the mobile library routes from October 2010 has been published (as an Excel file) by the County Council, confirming that East Hatley, along with many other villages, will only receive one visit per month – on the third Tuesday of each month between 3.20 and 3.35 pm.

Gamlingay will have two stops – on the first Friday of each month in Avenells Way 10.30 am to 12.00) and Blythe Way (12.05 to 12.25 pm).

East Hatley

The mobile library stops opposite the phone box in East Hatley between 12.55 and 1.10 pm on alternate Tuesdays (until October – see above) – the next visit will be on 14 September 2010.

Gamlingay

You can also use the mobile library in Gamlingay at the Village College between 12.30 and 2.30 pm every Saturday (this will change in October to Friday and no longer to the Village Collage – see above).
