Greensands Medical Practice operates from two surgeries in Gamlingay and Potton.  It has five male and two female doctors.

Morning surgery  8.45 to 10.45 am Monday to Friday

      8.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.00 to 6.00 pm on
      Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
      8.30 am to 12.30 pm, Wednesday

Minor illness clinics

Greensands Medical Practice is offering appointments with the Minor Illness Nurse from Monday to Friday at either Gamlingay or Potton Surgery.

Appointments can be made by phone on the day.  The Nurse has specialist training and is available on to be consulted on a wide range of conditions.  She is able to prescribe medication where appropriate.

Examples of ailments the Nurse can deal with are:

  • Asthma
  • Back pain (muscular)
  • Coughs and colds
  • Cystitis
  • Diarrhoea
  • Ear ache
  • Fever
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Hay fever
  • Headaches
  • Minor accidents
  • Morning after pill
  • Rashes
  • Skin infections (e.g. Impetigo)
  • Sore throats
  • Stomach pains
  • Vomiting
  • Weight-bearing strains and sprain

Additional information

There are four practice nurses who may be seen by appointment and several clinics (most only available on referral by your doctor). Prescriptions can be dispensed at both surgeries.
