Doctors

Greensands Medical Practice operates from two surgeries in Gamlingay and Potton.  It has four male and three female doctors.

A&E attendance – before calling an ambulance or racing off to an A&E, check this thought first.

A&E attendance

It is estimated almost half of all A&E attendance could have been treated by a GP, local pharmacist or basic first aid .†

Making an 'emergency' trip to hospital is time consuming for you and whoever is taking you, an expense (fuel, car parking etc) and costly to the NHS – particularly (it seems) accident and emergency, in turn potentially limiting funds for other patient care.

And ambulances are for emergencies – not a stubbed toe or cut finger.

Greensands Medical Practice therefore encourages you to contact them before going to A&E – they are open from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.**  Within the practice, they can also deal with some minor illnesses.

** Best to ring their emergency line:
          Gamlingay emergency line – 01767 651 546
          Potton emergency line – 01767 260 229

Out of hours cover (6.30 pm to 8.00 am and weekends)
