Hatley and Arrington Cricket Club is a small but very successful club which plays regular Sunday afternoon friendly matches against other village sides from the end of April through to late September.

In recent seasons, the club has usually won more matches than it has lost, but the emphasis is always on giving everyone involved a good game and an enjoyable afternoon. For that reason, club members have always opted not to join any league competitions.

The club’s home ground, one of the best playing surfaces in the area, is virtually opposite the village shop and post office in Hatley St George. For teas and after-match drinks, players use Hatley Village Hall – but they would like their own pavilion...
A cricket pavilion for the Club?
The Cricket Club is keen to have a cricket pavilion on the playing field in Hatley St George.
Potton Homes is prepared to donate wood and other materials and it is proposed to apply to South Cambridgeshire District Council for a sports grant. More funds will need to be raised.
These are the current plans – they can be seen in detail at the Shop/Post Office in Hatley St George.

Before a planning application is put in to SCDC, the Club would welcome your comments on the proposal.
