Hatley Villages Committee Programme
Throughout the year, the committee runs a number of events for Hatley people of all ages. A typical annual programme includes:
In addition, a Safari Supper – taking a separate course in different houses – is now a regular Hatley feature, as is the Quiz Night in late March/early April. New in 2006 was the Hatley Shopping Evening in November. The committee also publishes a Village Directory with phone numbers and addresses of most households and details of a baby sitting circle. With the demise of the Hatley Sports & Social Club in autumn 2005, Committee members took part in discussions with representatives of all interested parties about the future of the Village Hall in Hatley St George. As a result, the Parish Council has assumed management of the hall and offered some finance.
