Good news about broadband
for Hatley St George and East Hatley

BT recently announced that it was removing the reach limits for the most popular broadband services, which means that all households in Hatley St George and East Hatley should all be able to receive broadband through a service provider of their choice. Up to now, only one or two lucky households in East Hatley have been able to get broadband, although the problem has not been so great in Hatley St George.

From 6 September 2004, the reach limit for the 512 kb/sec ADSL services was removed and BT increased the range for 1 Mb/sec premium services from 4 km to approximately 6 km.  This brings the Hatleys within range of the Gamlingay exchange.
