Graphic advertising the annual Hatley litter pick on 26th March 2023 and organised by Hatley Parish Council. Meet at the village hall at 10.30 am - litter pickers and bags will be provided, but please wear gloves and sensible footwear.

Thank you (writes Peter Mann) to litter pickers Caroline Drake, Harold and Marion Nickerson, Tim Ollerenshaw, Sue Parrish and Lin and Martin Ward – and those whom I didn’t see – for clearing the Hatley verges. My biggest ‘prize’ was a Champagne bottle… empty, of course. What makes people throw stuff from their cars and vans?

Please come and help to pick up the litter spoiling the verges on the road passing through East Hatley / Hatley St George – from Holbeins Farm to New Road.

  • Usually easier to work individually and ‘leap-frog’ whoever has already started.
