The HVA’s diary of events
The Hatley Village Association (HVA) is running a feast of events – from pop-up pub evenings in the village hall to celebrating the king’s coronation on Sunday, 7th May.
The details are below, month-by-month and highlighted in bold blue – profits from the events are for Hatley community projects, as detailed in the ‘HVA news and history’ section at the bottom of our HVA diary.

Available for hire – with new toilets (including one for wheelchair users and a baby changing unit.

- If you fancy buying a new pair of binoculars, ‘How to choose binoculars’ is quite helpful – and the RSPB shop at its HQ near Sandy has a good selection.

- Annual Hatley Pancake Race – pancakes supplied, but please bring a frying pan. Races include a ladies’ race, a men’s race, a children’s race, a walking race for the less able-bodied and a three-legged race – with prizes for the winners.

- The Coronation of HM King Charles III – Our joint celebrations, East Hatley and Hatley St George, in a cross between the Summer Fête and a good old fashioned street party. There will be food, a licensed bar and a hot beverages tent. You can look forward to fun events throughout the day – as well as stalls selling plants, local crafts and much else. The village hall will also be open for the entire day.
