HVA news and history
The Hatley Village Association has been around for several years, organising and putting on quizzes, talks, coffee mornings, pancake races, village fêtes and other events for everyone in Hatley to enjoy.
But as is the way of these things, stuff happens (like the pandemic), people move on and, almost suddenly, it seemed, there were no events in the pipeline.
So, Carole Cooper, having got the HVA going again with a new committee of volunteers and getting things to happen (pop-up pub nights, Christmas Shindig, Valentine’s Quiz), handed over the chairman’s role to Linda Hudson on 26th January 2023.
The committee now comprises…
Linda Hudson, East Hatley (chairwoman)
Carole Cooper, East Hatley (treasurer)
Steve Greenhalgh, East Hatley
Amy Hellyer, Hatley St George
Richard Hellyer, Hatley St George
Alan Pinney, Hatley St George
Sarah Titmus, Hatley St George
Martin Ward, East Hatley
The committe is open to your ideas for events, so if you feel it is missing a trick or two, please let Linda know: Linda Hudson / 07849 699 535.
The HVA operates under the auspices of the Parish Council to raise funds for Hatley community projects, including the village hall, Hatley St George church and the playing field in Hatley St George – this link will tell you more about the HVA and its predecessors, including the Hatley Villages Committee.
