Parties being represented in the South Cambridgeshire constituency, general election on 4th July 2024.

With a general election to be held on Thursday, 4th July, South Cambridgeshire District Council is reminding residents of key dates ahead of polling day.

For residents aged 18 and over, those on the electoral role in South Cambridgeshire will be able to record one vote for their preferred candidate.

Voters should be aware of the following deadlines ahead of polling day:

Photo ID

The Council would also like to remind residents that you must now bring photo ID to vote at polling stations.

There are several different types of identification that are accepted. To find out more or to apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate, use this link to the Electoral Commission’s website: voting-and-elections/voter-id.

Liz Watts, Chief Executive and Elections Returning Officer at South Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “The upcoming general election will affect all residents in the South Cambs area.

“Every vote counts, so make sure you are ready to take part on polling day. Do make a note of these key dates and act now so you can cast your vote come 4th July.

“Don’t forget you need photo ID to vote and that only specific forms of ID are accepted. These can be found here: How to vote / photo ID you’ll need. If you don’t have voter ID we can help – but make sure you apply in time.”

Although parliamentary constituencies are changing for this general election, Hatley, as part of The Mordens ward, remains in the South Cambridgeshire constituency.
