Local Covid-19 vaccinations
The Greensands Medical Practice in Gamlingay has put these notes on its website about Covid-19 vaccinations.
In essence, you will receive an invitation to be vaccinated via the phone, or through a letter either from your GP or the national booking system.
National information on coronavirus
There’s also this interactive map showing local infection rates – put your postcode into the search box and use the wheel on your mouse to enlarge the map.
Lockdown restrictions – from 5th January 2020
Exercising and meeting other people – you should minimise time spent outside your home. You can exercise in a public outdoor place:
- By yourself.
- With the people you live with.
- With your support bubble (if you are legally permitted to form one).
- When on your own, with one person from another household.
- In a childcare bubble where providing childcare.
It is against the law to meet socially with family or friends unless they are part of your household or support bubble. You can only leave your home to exercise, and not for the purpose of recreation or leisure (e.g. a picnic or a social meeting). This should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area.
Any test under the NHS Test and Trace service is free
Yes, it’s free – so if anyone rings you purporting to be part of the NHS Test and Trace service and ‘demands’ money, just put the phone down because their call is a scam.
The NHS website has all the details about its Test and Trace programme, including what should happen if you are contacted, so well worth reading.
- NHS Test and Trace app information.
- Greensands Medical Practice is unable to arrange tests for coronavirus. Tests are available online or by calling 119.
