Historic records
The files allow you to look at any application in South Cambridgeshire, with records going back to 1948 – including a Hatley parish section.  To access it, use this link to the ‘Advanced’ tab on the planning website and either search for the application number or select ‘Hatley CP’ in the field for ‘Parish’, then scroll down and click on the ‘Search’ button – the default order is by ‘Date received’: there are other ‘sort’ options.

Although going back to 1948 is ‘nice’, unfortunately, nearly all the supporting documents are no longer available online for any but relatively recent applications, so if you are looking for the history of a site, you’ll need to contact SCDC on 03450 455 215 or via their website if you want an electronic connection.


Hatley Parish Council’s input

Hatley Parish Council receives notification of all planning applications concerning development in Hatley.  Residents whose land is adjacent to the property where a development is proposed will (or should) receive notification from SCDC.

Applications are discussed by the Parish Council either at a regular meeting or at an extraordinary meeting, which will be advertised on the village notice boards and on this website. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings.

The Parish Council submits its comments to South Cambridgeshire District Council. Members of the public may submit their own comments to SCDC.

The planning application relating to Moat Farm was decided some time ago but is currently subject to planning conditions.

Moat Farm, East Hatley: These notifications relate to planning application S/4601/17, dated 27th December 2017 for change of use of domestic outbuildings to two dwellings (part retrospective), which was overturned at appeal on 9th January 2019. SCDC planning links:
