South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Planning Application Search system has details of every registered application from the late 1940s.  (For Hatley, they go back to 1948 – the order is by reference number, i.e. 001, 002, 003 etc rather than by year.)

From here you can submit a comment on an application by e-mail.  The ‘Status’ of the application (i.e. when it is registered, the dates of the consultation period, and the decision, e.g. Registered, Consulting, Pending decision, Approved, Rejected) are shown on here.

The ‘Case file’ with the application forms, drawings/plans and other supporting documents/supporting statements (e.g. design statements etc.) can be seen and printed off from this system.

Case file documents are available from at least the start of the consulting period for all registered applications.  The easiest way to find new application is to select the parish and a date period of, say, 14 or 28 days.

Commenting on planning applications

Any comments you may wish to make on applications should be sent to SCDC at the address below and received as soon as possible within 21 days of the date of the announcement of the application, although the Council will endeavour to take into account any representations received up to the date a decision is made.

A consultation period of 14 days is normally given when re-consultation takes place on significant amendments.

Comments should be addressed to the specific case officer, by letter or e-mail, giving your full name, postal address and the planning reference number at the:
